United Way in Action…
Here are just a few examples of United Way’s impact on our community:
- Parents and grandparents are able of maintain employment with the assistance of child care being offered by Jacksonville Day Care Center.
- Over 15,000 people in emergency situations were helped with food, clothing, medicine, and utilities.
- 1,276 residents received assistance with food and/or medication through Jacksonville and Piedmont Community Chests.
- Food, clothing, household items, and disaster services were offered to many individuals and families through The Salvation Army.
- 24 Randolph County residents received emergency assistance through the HOPE Fund due to a disaster, loss of job, or other personal tragedy.
- 950 people who faced some type of disaster or tragedy such as a house fire were assisted through the American Red Cross.
- 929 residents in Cleburne County received help with food, clothing, household items, emergency financial assistance, medication, and employment training through HEART’s House.
