Day of Action is coming soon and volunteer registration is OPEN!!
We have 300 Volunteer Spots available for 2019!!
We have changed a few things this year and we are so excited to share those with you!!
We will be providing breakfast and lunch!!
Breakfast will be full of United Way updates and preparing for the event, while lunch will be a time for our community volunteers to interact with each other, share what is going on in their companies and share their Day of Action fun!!
We will continue our food packaging event, packaging 50,000 meals for our food insecure here in Calhoun County. Our community partners LOVE receiving this food at the end of summer and before the Holiday season.
This year we will be adding a backpack stuffing component as well. Designer Smiles- Braces by Benton approached us as they prepared for their Grand Opening and wanted to give back to the community, while allowing their patients to give back as well. We organized a Stuff the Bus Campaign, collecting school supplies to stuff 500 backpacks for our local children in need.
We have several boxes of supplies, but we still need a bit MORE to be able to stuff all 500 backpacks.
If you have employees who will not be able to attend Day of Action, but would like to be involved, donating school supplies would be a great opportunity!!!
When you and your employees register, please remember to let us know your t-shirt size and if you will be attending lunch, so we can plan accordingly.
You will see two “ticket” types in the registration link, Food Packaging is the same event as we have done in the past, the backpack stuffing will be upstairs in the gym assembling backpacks with the donated items we have collected prior to Day of Action!
Please only select ONE!
Volunteers Registered by August 2nd will be guaranteed an event t-shirt!!
