Success By 6

It is never too early to invest in
our children!

The first years of a child’s life are a time of tremendous physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. Children enter the world with a great capacity to learn along with many needs in order to develop and grow. These include love, nutrition, health, social and emotional security, and stimulation from parents and caregivers that prepare them for success in school and life.

In fact, we know that the earlier we invest in programs that help our youngest residents, the greater positive impact it will have on our community down the road.

Our Success By 6 Coalition includes multi-sector partners whose goal is to ensure that all children are ready to succeed in school, and ultimately, in life! Each year, this initiative hosts “Train the Trainer” events for local child care professionals to ensure that licensed and licensed-exempt centers, along with home providers, have access to quality training and quality curriculum for their classrooms.

The initiative also distributes 2,000 free “Getting Ready for Kindergarten” School Readiness Calendars to 4-year-olds across the region to help them and their families prepare for their first day of kindergarten.
